If you live north of the 51st Parallel you can file a Bankruptcy or a Proposal without coming into a trustee office. It can all be done by telephone, fax, email. or mail.

The Procedure is as follows:

  • Contact one of our trustees Toll Free or by email to discuss your options;
  • If you wish to proceed the trustee will prepare the documents and send them to you;
  • You will sign and have the documents witnessed in your community;
  • There are two counselling sessions that are required, which can be done over the telephone;
  • When you have completed your duties the trustee will issue you a Discharge Certificate (usually in 9 months in the case of a bankruptcy) or a Certificate of Completion, when your Proposal has completed.
